Years ago when I thought I would never use watercolor again-- I know, how wrong was I?-- I made the executive decision to use a piece of 400lb Arches Watercolor Paper as a drop cloth. I set my oil paintings on it and went to town letting it protect the floor. I can't say that I'm disappointed. The years of splashing paint and medium created this beautiful mess.Certain blobs have texture, others are nothing but a stain. While painting my landscapes over the years, another scape was being laid beneath me.
