I have seen so many of these beautiful little books made of scraps. After art journaling for almost a year I have a lot of small pieces of lovely decorative card stock. Initially I sewed it together, but I did it too tight (I'm still learning...) I cut the string and now the whole book is solely attached by bits of washi tape. I'm curious to see how it's going to evolve. Today:
- I learned how to cut a bell pepper the most effective way. I saw it on Cutthroat Kitchen last night but tried it when I was making chili earlier and it's perfect.
- I had Jelly Belly Jelly Beans for the first time in at least 10 years. I was shocked that I still knew most of the flavors by their color. Apparently that's the type of info that sticks with you.
- I finally figured out a camera setup for filming art type videos. I'm excited but it honestly scares the crap out of me. So look forward to some awkward art videos.
- I watched a show on Honey Badgers on Netflix and wtf? Look into them. They are mystical (and kind of terrifying) and I don't know why I didn't learn about them in school.
