June was not a month of reading... It was a month filled with Orange is the New Black, Orphan Black and Weeds marathons. I did manage to read three books though which was pretty impressive for me. The first one I read was Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. This book is known for its twists and unexpected turns. Only, I wasn't so shocked by the plot. I didn't relate with any of the characters and the misogynist language was overkill. Even though it wasn't my favorite book, I flew through it and made me feel like reading. Which was awesome because at the end of last month I fell hard into a reading slump. Next I finished the Divergent Series by reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I thought it was a great finish to a fun series! It has a controversial ending but I am one of the people who enjoyed it! I really want to see the movie now.The last book I read was White Oleander by Janet Fitch. I've seen the movie over 10 times and absolutely love it. Reading the book has been on my to-do list for a while. Even though I've seen it so many times the book was amazing. The writing is beautiful and there is much more in the book that was left out of the movie. So that's what I read this month! I have a bookshelf full of unread books, but I'm not sure what I'm going to read next.
