I've had a mini art hiatus the past week. Not because I don't want to be creative but because I'm enjoying different avenues. I feel mentally inspired to make art but somehow every time I've sat down to do it, I just feel a bit stuck. I'm going to get in there and make something just to make it. It might be shit but it will get me back in the swing of things. Ok pep talk over. Since I haven't been in my studio this is what I've been up to. The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt has occupied my time, but when I'm not reading I'm writing. I started a free trial with Scrivener-- It's a true free trial. No credit card needed and you get 30 days of actual use. It's the most extensive writing app I've ever encountered. It's ideal for those writing long prose, screenplays or research papers but it can be used lots different ways. It has so many useful features that multiple books exist to teach you how to use it.
Even though it can be complex, it's easy to jump in and get started on a basic level. It comes with its own comprehensive tutorial.
It's great for blogging as well. I found this informative blog post by Thaddeus Hunt explaining how to use it to organize your blog posts!
I'm in no way affiliated with Scrivener I just wanted to tell you how cool this app is! It's $44 but I still have 24 days left in my free trial so I'm going to keep using it just to make sure. (I'm pretty sure already but hey it's a free 24 days.) Have you tried Scrivener?
I want to say hi to all of my new followers on Bloglovin', you are all awesome! Feel free to say hi in comments!
