Week two of Journal52 is 'somewhere, a simple place.' It made me think of the simple scenes of driving up and down the coast when we lived in San Francisco. Those road trips were so fun and always after whirlwind semesters in art school. Brandon and I would pack up the rental car with mounds of dirty laundry and school projects and sing the whole 400 mile drive. I have so many reference photographs from these trips. So many great memories. This little journal I made (tutorial coming soon!) is really fun to work in because you can lay it flat. This page was done with acrylic paint and my finger. I stamped 'on the road again' on a piece of rice paper and then glued it in. I didn't trust myself stamping directly onto the page. Week 3 prompt was just announced and I can't wait to get started!
We've worked hard on organizing as I've mentioned, and today I finally found some of my printmaking supplies and my art books! Once the dust settles I believe I'm going to do a studio tour. Perhaps I'll make a video. We shall see.
